Who doesn't flirt with the idea of becoming self employed? With the right opportunities and innovation anyone can achieve this goal. But which self employment ideas work?

Which self employment ideas actually work? Which online ads can be believed, which Web sites earn, which opportunities will actually pan out and yield real results? The process of weeding through various scams, suffering disappointments and being let down again and again can be long, tedious and incredibly heart-breaking. It sounds a lot easier than it is to become self employed with opportunities and innovation.

Self Employment Ideas

There are thousands of Web pages promising easy money, great self employment opportunities and plenty of revenue for the hard-working go-getter who has an Internet connection. Of the many self employment ideas that any given professional might pursue, which ones are actually worth using?

Freelance Writing/Blogging

Many self employment opportunities center around freelance writing and blogging, a niche that’s driven by the online world’s constant needs for fresh, keyword-rich content. Professionals who can produce well-written pieces - and a lot of them - can certainly find opportunities to make money with the Internet. As far as self employment ideas go, freelance writing and blogging provides a wealth of possibility. There are also, however, many online scams that writers should learn how to avoid. If any site requires paid membership or other monies, it probably isn’t a legitimate job offer.

Graphic Page Design

The Internet is a hot commodity, and so are online graphic designers. If sites need content to keep those visitors coming, it’s a given they also need beautiful pages that will make audiences take notice. Professionals who can artistically arrange pages, provide great-looking images and put everything together in a pleasing way can definitely find work. Being successful at graphic design is much more than a self employment idea - it’s an entire lifestyle. This job requires a lot of networking, self-promotion and following up on opportunities.

Creating a Home-Based Business

Who hasn’t had a great idea for creating their own business? Self employed professionals don’t just exist online, they’re alive and well in the real world. Plumbers, painters, mechanics, the list of possibilities for self employment ideas could go on and on. Creating a home-based business, however, can cause a lot of heartache. It’s a time-consuming affair that involves advertising, purchasing the proper insurance and working long hours to establish a professional career.

Anyone with a good idea could potentially pursue self employment, but it takes a lot of patience and hard work. Those who are up to the task, and follow through with their plans, could create a career they love.

I have been trying vigorously to find an at home job on the internet.
I'm on social security disability, I care for my 31 yr. old daughter, she is terminally ill, God knows how much time she has left, and her 12 yr. old son. I have my hands full with doctor appointments,
my own phyical problems and caring for a 12 yr. old boy, very active, (has been diagnosed with ADHD). Sometimes I feel I'm losing my mind. I have alot of time to use the internet, and it has become my outlet, but I feel I should be making money some how using the net. I don't have money to invest in all these scams that come at me on a daily basis. Although I did twice and was roped like a wild bull. I know there has to be an opportunity out there to create a home based business that is legidament. I'm just having a hell of a time finding one. If anyone can toss me a few ideas I would greatly appreaciate it.
